Conductive Hot-melt Adhesive Net Membrane
Main Product Description
Electrochemical stacks frequently suffer performance losses stemming from high interfacial contact resistance between solid electrode components. Conventional bonding agents may also degrade under harsh electrolyte environments, risking long-term cell reliability. To resolve these practical bottlenecks for energy-storage hardware, we developed this carbon-nanotube-loaded thermoplastic adhesive web for dual-purpose bonding and electrical interconnection.
Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (8-10 nm diameter, 10-15 μm length) are blended with POE thermoplastic matrix and functional auxiliaries inside an internal compounder. After thorough homogenization, the compound mixture is pelletized. These compounded pellets are then fed into melt-blown equipment to produce the porous non-woven web structure.
This engineered non-woven substrate combines multiple key material merits. It retains stable electrical performance while exhibiting strong tolerance against acid, alkali and electrochemical corrosive media. Thermoplastic bonding capability kicks off at 80 °C, enabling straightforward thermal lamination workflows. After thermal activation and subsequent cooling cycle, the finished joint maintains conductivity above 30 S/cm.
Designed as an intermediate interface layer inside battery assemblies, this web-form material serves to mitigate contact resistance between two rigid solid electrode substrates. It eliminates the need for separate conductive coatings and simplifies stack-level assembly processes. Supplied in roll format, it supports slitting to custom widths for diverse stack-design requirements.
Every production batch undergoes multi-item performance validation covering thickness consistency, conductivity testing and corrosion-resistance screening before release for shipment.
