Coal Activated Carbon Replacement Cycle Management Guide

In industrial waste gas treatment, the replacement cycle of coal-based activated carbon needs to be dynamically adjusted according to the concentration of pollutants and the operation time of equipment. Under normal working conditions, the replacement cycle of the industrial adsorption device is 6-12 months, if the VOCs concentration in the exhaust gas exceeds 1000mgm³ or the equipment runs continuously for 24 hours, it is recommended to shorten to 3-6 months .

 

Civil Environmental Purification

Newly renovated houses: formaldehyde release peak period is recommended to replace 15-30 days, light pollution scenes can be extended to 2-3 months ‌.

Air purifier: regular household use every 6-12 months to replace, high humidity areas (humidity > 70%) to shorten the cycle of 20% ‌.

Water treatment system: drinking water purification device should be replaced every 3-6 months, heavy rain season or source water turbidity exceeded by 30% maintenance in advance ‌.

 

Efficiency Attenuation Early Warning Indicators

Physical characterization: the surface of activated carbon particles is white and the pore structure is collapsed.

Performance test: The iodine adsorption value drops below 60% of the initial value

Environmental feedback: the concentration of pollutants exported from purification equipment rose by more than 10% ‌.

 

Regeneration and disposal specifications

Thermal regeneration method: high temperature treatment at 800℃ can recover 70% adsorption force, but the maximum cycle is 3 times ‌

Environmental protection requirements: Saturated carbon should be sealed and packaged before being handed over to hazardous waste treatment units, and direct landfill is prohibited.
