Introduction Of ABEK Activated Carbon

ABEK activated carbon is A multi-functional protective filter material that complies with the EN14387 standard, specially designed for industrial-grade respiratory protective equipment. It can simultaneously protect against organic gases (Class A), inorganic gases (Class B), acidic gases (Class E), and ammonia derivatives (Class K). Its core adopts coal-based activated carbon with a particle size of 1.5-3mm as the carrier and achieves broad-spectrum adsorption through a four-stage modification process: Firstly, it is activated by steam at 800℃ to form a well-developed pore structure of 1200-1500m²/g. Then, it is successively loaded with 5% potassium iodide solution to enhance the mercury vapor capture capacity, impregnated with 10% sodium bicarbonate solution to improve the neutralization efficiency of acidic gases, and finally treated with copper citrate solution to enhance the chemical adsorption of ammonia substances. The finished products must pass the strict tests stipulated in the EN14387 standard, including an 8-hour protection test for 80mg/m³ hydrogen cyanide gas (Class K) and a 30-minute breakthrough test for 5000ppm sulfur dioxide (Class E).

ABEK Activated Carbon

In practical applications, ABEK gas masks demonstrate significant advantages in scenarios such as chemical engineering and fire protection. When encountering complex toxic gases, its unique hierarchical gradient adsorption structure can extend the protection time by more than 40%. This material should be stored in a sealed environment below 25℃. When the relative humidity exceeds 70%, the protective performance will decline by 15% to 20%. With the application of the nano-zinc oxide composite technology, the initial adsorption efficiency of the new generation of ABEK activated carbon for hydrogen sulfide has increased to 99.7%.
