Honeycomb activated carbon is mainly made by coconut shell charcoal, coal charcoal, wood charcoal , it is processed and formed after high temperature activation, which shape is honeycomb, so we call it honeycomb activated carbon. This product can be divided into water resistant and non water resistant. It is characterized by large specific surface area, small resistance through the hole, microporous developed, high adsorption capacity, long service life and so on. Adopt honeycomb activated carbon adsorption method , that is, the organic waste gas is in contact with the porous activated carbon with a large surface, and the pollutants in the waste gas are absorbed and decomposed, which play a purification role. The application of honeycomb activated carbon:
1. It’s suitable for large air volume, low concentration of factory organic waste gas (triphenyl and toxic and harmful gas) treatment and indoor air purification, catering fume waste gas treatment. It is also can be used for air conditioning, refrigerator, photocopier and other deodorant together with catalyst carrier.
2. It’s also can be used for gas phase adsorption activated carbon, benzene, toluene, xylene, acetone, oil and gas, CS2 and other organic solvents adsorption and recovery.
3. Cigarette filter tip, decoration in addition to taste, indoor air purification (formaldehyde, benzene and other harmful gas removal), industrial gas purification (such as CO2, N2, etc.) also can be applicated.
4. Petrochemical industry production, natural gas purification, desulfurization, deodorization, wastewater treatment is also effective.
5. Biochemical, paint industry, underground places, leather factories, animal feeding places of air purification, deodorization.
6. Flue gas odor adsorption, sulfide adsorption, mercury vapor removal, reduce the generation of dioxin.
The common specifications of honeycomb activated carbon is 100x100x100(mm), 50x50x100(mm), which can also be customized according to customer needs. When using honeycomb activated carbon for exhaust gas treatment, it is better to have two adsorbers in parallel, which can be used for intermittent exhaust and continuous exhaust. One of them is for adsorbing, and the other is stripping regeneration, then the desorbed pollutants are discharged after catalytic combustion. When using honeycomb activated carbon, we should avoid high temperature as far as possible, because high temperature will reduce the amount of adsorption, adsorption effect will decrease due to temperature rise. At the same time, it should avoid the high dust content in the gas, because the tar dust mist will plug the activated carbon pore and increase the wind resistance, reduce the adsorption effect. In this case,we need to add dust filter device in front of the honeycomb activated carbon, in order to improve efficiency and service life.
